Privacy Policy

- Manpo has no accounts, no ads and no analytics or tracking.
- Your steps, workouts, routes and history are stored on your device. We never receive them.
- A few features ask other services for maps or weather. They only get what they need to answer, never your activity data.
Who we are
Manpo is an app for iPhone and Apple Watch made by an independent developer (“we”). If you have any questions about this policy, write to [email protected].
Data that stays on your device
Manpo works on your device. The following is created, stored and processed only there (and on your Apple Watch, if you use one):
- Steps, distance and floors, read from your iPhone’s motion sensors (Motion & Fitness).
- Walking history, read from Apple Health if you choose to connect it.
- Workouts: time, distance, pace, splits, steps, climb, energy, heart rate (on Apple Watch) and the GPS route.
- Your settings: daily goal, reminders, badges, app icon and map style.
We don’t operate servers that receive this data, and Manpo doesn’t upload it anywhere. It’s included in your device backups (iCloud or computer) like other app data, under Apple’s protection. Deleting Manpo deletes its data from your device.
Apple Health
If you connect Apple Health, Manpo reads your steps, walking and running distance and flights climbed to show your history. If you turn on “Save to Apple Health”, Manpo also writes your workouts, with their route, distance and energy. You can change these permissions anytime in the Health app. Health data is never used for advertising, never shared with third parties, and never leaves your device through Manpo.
Location
Manpo uses your location only during a workout (to draw your route and measure distance) and to show your position on the map before you start one. Routes are stored with your workouts on your device. Manpo does not track your location in the background outside a workout you started.
Services Manpo uses
- Apple Maps draws the standard, satellite and hybrid maps. Apple receives the map area being shown, under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Apple Weather (WeatherKit), for Manpo+ members, receives your approximate location to return the forecast. Weather data sources.
- Topographic map tiles are downloaded from OpenTopoMap when you choose the topo map. Like any website, the tile server sees your IP address and which map tiles are requested. No account or identifier is sent.
- In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We don’t see your name, email or payment details; the app only checks whether Manpo+ is active.
Notifications
Reminders and “goal reached” alerts are scheduled on your device. They’re not sent through any server.
What we don’t do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
Children
Manpo is not directed to children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect data from anyone. Because data stays on the device, we have no data to delete on request, but you can always delete the app and its data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you have rights to access, correct and delete your personal data. Since Manpo doesn’t collect personal data on our side, you can exercise these directly on your device: view your data in the app, edit or delete it in Apple Health, or delete Manpo. Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
